The human resources discipline has been undergoing a lot of transformation over the past decade. Part of this transformation has included the decentralization of HR functions to Line Managers. This diffusion of tasks throughout organizational departments has impacted supervisors and managers, particularly those who are not equipped with the skills or knowledge to deal with specialized HR issues.
This course will give managers the basic tools to handle numerous human resource situations such as interviewing prospective employees, orientating new staff, and navigating the complicated arenas of safety, harassment, discrimination, violence, discipline, performance management, and termination cases.
